3. Political Contributions

3.1 Eligibility to Contribute

Friends of James M Richmond is a political committee registered under the Illinois Campaign Disclosure Act, 10 ILCS 5/9-1 et seq. (the "Act"), and is subject to regulation by the Illinois State Board of Elections. By making a contribution through this Website, you represent and warrant that:

• You are a natural person, corporation, labor organization, association, or other entity legally permitted to make political contributions under Illinois law;

• If you are an individual, you are at least eighteen (18) years of age;

• The contribution is made from your own lawful funds and not as a conduit or intermediary for another person or entity seeking to conceal the true source of the contribution;

• You are not a foreign national prohibited from contributing to Illinois political committees;

• The contribution does not cause you to exceed any applicable contribution limits established by the Illinois Campaign Disclosure Act or associated regulations;

• All information you provide in connection with your contribution is true, accurate, and complete, as required for disclosure reporting under the Act.

3.2 Contribution Limits and Illinois Disclosure Compliance

All contributions are subject to the Illinois Campaign Disclosure Act, 10 ILCS 5/9-1 et seq., and the rules and regulations of the Illinois State Board of Elections. Contribution limits vary depending on the type of contributor and the office sought. It is your responsibility to ensure that your contribution complies with all applicable Illinois campaign finance laws and limits.

As required by the Act, contributions of $150 or more must be accompanied by the contributor's full name, residential address, occupation, and employer. By submitting a contribution of $150 or more, you consent to the disclosure of this information in reports filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections, which are public records. The Committee reserves the right to return any contribution it determines, in its sole discretion, cannot be lawfully accepted.

3.3 Refunds

Contributions to political committees are generally non-refundable. However, the Committee may, in its sole discretion, return a contribution if required by the Illinois Campaign Disclosure Act, applicable Illinois State Board of Elections rules, or if the contribution was made in error. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the Committee.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree that you will not use this Website to:

• Violate any applicable Illinois, federal, or local law or regulation, including the Illinois Campaign Disclosure Act (10 ILCS 5/9-1 et seq.) and Illinois State Board of Elections rules;

• Make contributions on behalf of another person, entity, or using funds that are not your own;
